Linz celebrates its youngest runners
Bright-eyed children, rapturous applause and a field of runners more colorful than ever before: The ÖGK Junior Marathon powered by ORF Radio OÖ was once again a highlight of the marathon weekend in Linz in 2025. Around 2,100 children and young people took to the course on Saturday afternoon - sending out a strong signal for the joy of movement, fair play and community. The Family Party powered by LINZ AG was also very popular.
Final countdown to the 23rd Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon
Marathon fever has the city firmly in its grip. Even before the first starting shot is fired on the voestbrücke on Sunday morning, one thing is certain: the 23rd Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon will be a record-breaking race - in many respects. The organizing team around Günther Weidlinger can already take stock with satisfaction: 19,200 registrations were registered by midday on Saturday, including a new record number of 1,669 runners for the 42.195 km marathon - more than ever before. Late entries are still possible until Saturday evening.
