The current Austrian marathon record holder Julia Mayer covers up to 240 kilometers in training weeks. She has the courage to slow down, often lies on the couch - and loves black garlic. At the kick-off for the 23rd Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon on January 28 at the Oberbank Donau Forum, she will provide an insight into her recipe for success and get the audience ready for 2025 in a live talk together with extreme runner Christian Schiester and running legend Michael Buchleitner.

Sustainability in motion - kick-off as a green event
The Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon continues to set a strong example for sustainability and environmental protection. In 2024, the kick-off event was successfully certified for the first time as a green event according to the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel. We will remain true to this path in 2025: The kick-off event on January 28, 2025 at the Oberbank Donau Forum will once again be certified as a Green Event and marks the starting signal for another sustainable marathon year!
