Hyundai Elite Relay

Hyundai Import GmbH continues its activities in running and is at the start with a very special relay in Linz.

As in previous years, Hyundai is the name sponsor for the relay marathon events and thus stands especially for a shared, eventful togetherness at the running events. Hyundai underlines its sponsorship with wide-area logo positioning on the start number and in the start-finish area, among other things.

Hyundai Elite Relay

As a special activation, the Hyundai Elite Relay will take center stage this year. Together with marathon record holder Peter Herzog and ambitious local hero Kevin Kamenschak, Valentin Pfeil and Christian Steinhammer will try to win the Hyundai relay marathon.

"I'm delighted to be able to help line up the Hyundai Elite Relay here in Linz. Ever since I was allowed to be an ambassador for the innovative brand, there has been the idea of winning the competition as a team for once!" Peter Herzog, Hyundai brand ambassador.

In addition, the fluffy Hyundai bear will participate in the mascot run to the delight of young and old. The mascot run will take place on Saturday April 15, 2023 as part of the Junior Marathon at Sportpark Lissfeld.

The event teams will, of course, once again be using Hyundai electric vehicles. The game-changer IONIQ 5 and the new IONIQ 6 will be used, and the hydrogen-electric pioneer NEXO will also be "running" as an advance vehicle.

"The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon's attention has already been focused on the responsible use of resources and environmental protection aspects. In 2024, a further milestone will be the goal of organizing all events according to the criteria of the Austrian Eco-Label for Green Events. Forward-looking sponsoring partnerships, such as the one with Hyundai Austria, form the basis for this. An innovative, electric-powered fleet for our organization and a lead car in front of the marathon elite with reference models such as the Hyundai Nexo and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 ensure 100% motivation on the race course with 0% emissions and that the success story of the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon can be ideally continued with the 21st edition," says Dr. Rainer Stadler, Commercial Director of LIVA.

"We are looking forward to the event in Linz as a successful start to the running season and hope for lively participation in all the competitions as well as numerous spectators to cheer on the runners," says Mag. Roland Punzengruber, Managing Director of Hyundai Import GesmbH.
