Unfortunately the ÖGK Junior Marathon 2023 powered by ORF Radio OÖ planned for tomorrow, Saturday, April 15, has to be postponed. The persistent rainy weather currently does not allow a safe execution on the natural ground in the LIVA-Sportpark Lissfeld. Alternate date is Saturday, May 13. All confirmed registrations remain valid and do not need to be updated. The distribution of race numbers will take place on the alternate date.
"Both the natural running course itself and the secondary surfaces could not completely withstand the large amount of rain in recent days, currently there is a risk of slipping and falling at the site. However, the top priority must remain the safety of all runners and spectators. It is with a heavy heart that the youth competition has to be postponed. As a substitute, we can already look forward to a wonderful experience in May" (Wolfgang Scheibner, Marathon Coordinator of the LIVA).
Note: The Sunday competitions of the 21st Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon on April 16 will take place as planned without any restrictions.
