First milestone reached: Kick-off for the 22nd Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon certified as a Green Event!
Kick-off event as a green event
A highlight of the kick-off event with ski jumping legend Toni Innauer and Upper Austrian Sportswoman of the Year Susanne Gogl-Walli was the awarding of the official certification according to the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel for this special evening at Oberbank Linz: "With the award of the kick-off as a Green Event, we have reached another major milestone on the path of respectful, environmentally friendly organization. We are particularly proud that our partners and sponsors are following this path 100% with us and supporting us as much as possible," says Wolfgang Scheibner, Marathon Coordinator at LIVA.
The certification with the Austrian Ecolabel was carried out by Astrid Bonk, project manager of Gerhard Kampits Veranstaltungsmanagement GmbH. The award as an Upper Austrian Green Event was presented by Provincial Councillor Stefan Kaineder and Norbert Rainer, Managing Director of Klimabündnis Oberösterreich.
