Innovations at the Linz Marathon

We present...the Generali 5K.
Starting on Untere Donaulände, past the Brucknerhaus, along Gruberstraße to the ORF Landesstudio, on to the Landestheater, around the Volksgarten and along Landstraße to the finish on Linz's Hauptplatz - that's the new 5-kilometer run that will be part of the program starting with the 22nd Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon on April 7, 2024.
The 5-kilometer run is the perfect event for all running beginners. Of course, all finishers will receive a finisher's medal at the finish line, as well as a finish label.

New venue for the Junior Marathon

At the ÖGK Juniormarathon powered by Radio OÖ on April 6, 2024, some changes await our participants.

After three years in the Sportpark Lissfeld, the Juniormarathon is moving back to the center. 2024 the ÖGK Juniormarathon will take place in the Donaupark, at the railroad bridge.

change two. The 2.1km run was taken out of the program after careful consideration. The reason for this was the new 5km run on Sunday, but also the decreasing number of participants in this event. We are looking forward to welcoming the former teens participants of the junior marathon at one of the races on Sunday.
