The end of the season of the houses of the LIVA will also be celebrated together in 2023 with a friendly summer festival: Brucknerhaus Linz, Posthof - Zeitkultur am Hafen, the children's cultural center Kuddelmuddel, LIVA Sport and the Linz Danube Marathon invite you to the Donaupark and the Brucknerhaus Linz again this year with free admission after the successful premiere last year!

The event starts at 2 p.m. with a special offer for young audiences, and of course the stage favorites from the "Young Brucknerhaus" will be there: Antonella and music detective Tritonus will entertain with fantastic adventures and exciting musical puzzles. On the stage in the Donaupark and in the open spaces, the team of the children's cultural center Kuddelmuddel awaits the youngest visitors: Kiri Rakete plays her hand-, brain- and heart-made children's songs and invites you to listen, sing along and dance. The singer-songwriter from Vienna tells singing stories about chocolate construction sites, traffic light cats, sand in body orifices and avocado consumption. Right next to the colorful circus wagon is the creative tent. Here, young guests can embark on a piratical adventure.
Doors Open for All
There are exclusive family tours for the entire family, leading from the basement to the top floor, into the concert halls, the air conditioning, the technical rooms and the most secret corners of the Brucknerhaus. A look behind the scenes of the Brucknerhaus Linz is also offered with regular tours of the entire house.
Jan David Schmitz, head of program planning, dramaturgy and scenic projects, will present the program highlights of the International Bruckner Festival Linz 2023 and the 2023/24 concert season under the title "Unerhört!", audio samples included. Jan will also be available to answer questions about the exciting new season, including stimulating conversations!
Heart projects of the local scene live on stage and on the street are delivered by the Posthof. With "Down With Love. Reloaded", for example, musical actress Daniela Dett and theater maker Henry Mason fulfilled a long-awaited wish for themselves and their fans last year and put a sensual, tender sequel to their successful production from 2005 on stage. Before the public favorites in large cast in the coming autumn in the post office yard thereby again all hearts in the storm conquer, parlieren they with the summer celebration in the intimate framework over love in all its facets with selected texts and poems, rousing songs and a good portion humor. Before that, the mischievous Linz quartet Blechsalat mobilizes the legs and hips of everyone present. Let's shake your booty!
One of the highlights of the 2023 Summer Festival will be a concert in the Great Brucknerhaus Hall, whose program will revive the golden era of swing. You will hear popular numbers from the "Great American Songbook" that inspired many greats of jazz, from Ella Fitzgerald to Judy Garland, from Louis Armstrong to Frank Sinatra, to ravishing new interpretations. Brucknerhaus director Dietmar Kerschbaum and folk opera star Renate Pitscheider, who both have a great affinity for jazz, will follow in their footsteps. The instrumental sound will be provided by the trio mg3 around Martin Gasselsberger, reinforced by four wind players.
Sport & Culinary delights
Every year, more than 200,000 amateur athletes take advantage of the wide range of activities on offer at the top-equipped sports parks in Lissfeld, Auwiesen and Pichling. Together with the multifunctional TipsArena on the Gugl and the legendary Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon, they form the "sporting spearhead" of the LIVA. At the Summer Festival for Linz, it's therefore Doors Open for all sports enthusiasts! Starting at 2 p.m., LIVA Sport will offer plenty of space for small and large teams with pop-up soccer, volleyball and table tennis. In cooperation with the ASKÖ DSZ Linz, all darts fans can compete at the target, and a hole-in-one challenge will take place at the pop-up mini-golf course of the ASKÖ 3D MSC Linz Lissfeld. For all running fans, the Linz Danube Marathon runway is the "place to be".
The culinary end of the summer festival will be offered at Bruckner's Restaurant with a delicious barbecue. Not only the unique view of the Danube invites you to let your soul dangle. From 7 p.m., the summer festival DJ set awaits in the neighboring Sandburg, and the party may go on into the night hours.

Admission to the entire program offering on this special Saturday is free. For the indoor events and guided tours at the Brucknerhaus Linz, free counting cards will be issued for the purpose of reserving seats starting Monday, June 26, 2023, online at brucknerhaus.at and on site at the Brucknerhaus Service Center, as well as at the LIVA Infocorner in the Donaupark on Saturday, July 1. In case of bad weather, an adapted program will take place at the Brucknerhaus Linz.
