The Linz Danube Marathon will also focus on inclusion in 2024.

For the first time, there will be a separate competition for people with disabilities as part of the ÖGK Junior Marathon on Saturday. The "1st Special Olympics Run Linz powered by Hofmann Personal" is intended to help participants discover new abilities through the power of sport and perhaps experience previously unimagined successes.

Bernd Gröber, Special Olympics Upper Austria Coordinator and Vice President, is very much looking forward to this innovation in Linz: "The athletes of Special Olympics Austria would like to express their sincere thanks for the invitation to the Special Olympics Run, which will be held as part of the Linz Danube Marathon. The opportunity to participate is a great and very clear sign of inclusion in Upper Austrian sport."

In Hofmann Personal, a partner has also been found who is committed to supporting this socially important project. Helmut Herzog, Managing Director of Hofmann Personal: "We are delighted to be the namesake of the '1st Special Olympics Run Linz' this year. Through this support, we are actively committed to breaking down barriers and creating a world in which everyone has the same opportunities to develop their full potential."
