Arrival and parking

Allow sufficient time for your journey to the start.
Don't waste your chance by losing your nerve due to the hectic pace in the last minutes or by being late and thus not performing at your best.

Arrival by train

Those arriving by public transport to Linz main station can use the shuttle buses to Holzstraße (near the garment bag drop-off and start).

Walking time Holzstraße - Brucknerhaus: approx. 10min

There is no shuttle bus from Holzstraße to the main station back. For this, take the relay shuttle bus to Wiener Straße and change to the streetcar there.

Arrival by car

We recommend parking at the former Quelle parking lot (Industriezeile) - Plasser & Theurer parking lot - and taking the shuttle bus to Holzstraße.

Next to the exit point Holzstraße is the Brucknerhaus - where the clothes bag drop-off and pick-up points are located. This area is very close to the start on the Voest highway bridge.

For participants from the north of Linz. The sidewalk on the new railroad bridge and the Nibelungen Bridge can be used.

Arrival by bike

Around the start and finish area of the Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon on Sunday, April 7th and the ÖGK Junior Marathon on Saturday, April 6th there are enough bike racks available. We ask you to give preference to arriving by bike.

There are plenty of secure bicycle parking spaces at the Parkbad fitness oasis (Untere Donaulände 11).

If you arrive by e-bike, there are enough e-bike charging stations around the event site. You can find more detailed information about the charging stations here.

We also recommend traveling to the Linz Marathon Sportmesse by bike to pick up your race number.

Arrival by plane

For those participants arriving by plane from abroad, we can recommend the following options to get from Linz airport to the city:
. Airport bus No. 601 will take you to Linz main station in about 22 minutes.
Passengers can also use a free shuttle to Hörsching station and take the train to the main station.
If you travel by plane, we recommend the possibility of Co2 compensation.

Parking space visitors

Visitors can park in the Industriezeile area and take the shuttle bus to Holzstraße.

Barrier-free arrival

Travel by public transport should be possible for everyone.

Linz main station has barrier-free access as well as an inductive hearing system and tactile guidance systems. Almost all platforms are barrier-free.

All LINZ AG vehicles offer barrier-free access.

Linz lines

The start number is valid as a ticket on Marathon Sunday.
Information regarding rail replacement services, shuttle buses for runners and spectators as well as for relay runners can be obtained from the LINZ AG hotline during the marathon weekend.
