The audience at the Oberbank Donau Forum Linz got into the mood for the marathon year 2025 with an exciting sports talk by the exceptional talents Julia Mayer, Christian Schiester and Michael Buchleitner.

The current Austrian marathon record holder Julia Mayer covers up to 240 kilometers in training weeks. She has the courage to slow down, often lies on the couch - and loves black garlic. At the kick-off for the 23rd Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon on January 28 at the Oberbank Donau Forum, she gave an insight into her recipe for success and got the audience ready for 2025 in a live talk together with extreme runner Christian Schiester and running legend Michael Buchleitner.

Sustainability in motion - kick-off as a green event

The Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon continues to set a strong example for sustainability and environmental protection. In 2024, the kick-off event was successfully certified for the first time as a green event in accordance with the criteria of the Austrian Ecolabel. We will remain true to this path in 2025: The kick-off event on January 28, 2025 at the Oberbank Donau Forum was once again certified as a green event and marked the start of another sustainable marathon year!
