1127 children and young people who were enthusiastic about running took part.
The junior athletes showed a lot of joy and ambition at the new venue in the LIVA Sportpark Lissfeld. They formed the prelude to the marathon weekend 2021. With a strict covid concept, the focus was on the fun of movement for the "minis" at the ÖGK Junior Marathon powered by ORF Radio OÖ.
They are all winners. 1127 running enthusiastic children and teenagers gave free rein to their urge to move at the pleasingly well booked ÖGK Junior Marathon, powered by ORF Radio OÖ, at the LIVA Sportpark Lissfeld on Saturday - one day before the main competition of the 19th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon. The concept of the mini-arena without timing for the youngest participants, which was developed 4 years ago, ensures maximum fun. And without any pressure.

The fact that the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon also sees itself as a service marathon is shown by the fact that the organizers were still available on site in the TipsArena for last-minute late entries until shortly before the start of the main competition on Friday and Saturday. The provisional final status at the official entry deadline was already 8,300 participants at the time of going to press and before the end of the late entry phase. Today, Saturday, late entries are still possible until 6:00 pm.
