Austria's number 1 TV political expert will analyze the world of running live on June 13, 2022 at the Oberbank Donau Forum Linz.
Political scientist Dr. Peter Filzmaier is a big sports fan and dreamed of becoming a sports reporter as a child. From Spain's soccer players to Austria's skiers and Norway's cross-country skiers to Italian cycling heroes and American tennis stars: it's always been great athletes who have made Filzmaier's heart beat faster. At the kick-off for the Linz Anniversary Run 2022, he wants to share this enthusiasm with all running fans. At the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon, Peter Filzmaier is fulfilling a boyhood dream and has been commentating live on ORF since 2021. His former best time as a hobby runner over 10 kilometers is just under 33 minutes, the half marathon best time is 1 hour and 12 minutes. In addition, he is a "finisher" of two marathons, but has "failed miserably" with his attempts at a really fast marathon time, according to a critical self-description.
