As in previous years, there are once again experienced runners who run at a certain pace and consequently keep exactly to the target marathon time.
Half marathon runners can also join the pacer groups. Immediately after leaving the highway, both courses meet and run together until Taubenmarkt. Here the marathon runners turn left into the promenade and the half marathon runners run straight on to the finish at the main square.
You can't miss the pacemakers. Each time runner is equipped with a bright yellow T-shirt with the finish time printed on it, and all pace makers also carry blue flags with the finish time printed on them.
The pacemakers will be presented on stage in the TipsArena as part of the Marathon Sports Fair on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
