Preparation

Good preparation is the be-all and end-all.

Lactate tests and running meetings are helpful.

The preparation must be varied

A combination of specialized endurance training and strength-building exercises is important. The rule of thumb is: volume over intensity. In other words, more long, easy runs than short, intense tempo runs. After all, training isn’t a race—which is why runners should stick to their training plans.
Our training program for the Linz Marathon will be published in due course.
