Marathon Saturday

The ÖGK Junior Marathon powered by ORF Radio OÖ and the Special Olympics Run powered by Hofmann Personal will take place on the day before the Linz Marathon at the New Railway Bridge.

ÖGK Juniormarathon powered by ORF Radio OÖ, Samstag, 10. April 2027

Junior Marathon, the children's game: For our youngest participants, it's not a best time that counts, but the Olympic motto "Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together." Quite a few participants later find their way from the Junior Marathon to the races of the "big ones". The children's game on the day before the marathon Sunday is a family festival under the sign of the joy of movement. Not only taking part, but also watching is the real joy.

The junior marathon is limited to 2,000 starting places.

As soon as we have reached this number of registrations, it is no longer possible to register for the junior marathon. Late registrations at the start number collection are not possible.

Mascot run

After the "Minis" competitions, the mascot run will take place at around 12:45 pm.

The Linz Marathon mascot LiMa will be at the starting line together with other mascots from sponsors and partners.

Special Olympics Run powered by Hofmann Personal

The Linz Danube Marathon is also all about inclusion. As part of the ÖGK Junior Marathon on Saturday, there will be a separate competition for people with disabilities. The Special Olympics Run Linz powered by Hofmann Personal is designed to help participants discover new abilities through the power of sport and perhaps experience previously unimagined successes.
The Special Olympics Run is limited - register quickly to secure your starting place!

Family Party powered by LINZ AG

LINZ AG and the Kuddelmuddel Children's Cultural Center are also hosting the legendary "Family Party" in 2027 alongside the running festival!

Details about the program will follow in due time!

Arrival

We ask all participants and visitors to use public transportation. The venue near the Neue Eisenbahnbrücke is easily accessible via the “Donauparkstadion,” “Petzoldstraße,” or “Schlachthof” stops via the Linz public transit system. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from each of these stops to the event grounds.

Fair play

We ensure that we treat each other with respect both on and off the track. Safety, equal opportunities and fair play are our top priorities!
