Information for pedestrians and cyclists
In principle, the entire city area will be open to pedestrians and cyclists on the day of the marathon, although there will be some restrictions along the race route.
For safety reasons, the running course itself may not be used from 7:00 a.m. until the police have cleared the respective section of the course. It is possible to cross the course, but it is essential to show consideration for the runners. Before crossing, we also ask you to consult with the security service or the police in advance if possible.
The Nibelungen Bridge remains passable for pedestrians. Cyclists can also use the bridge, but must stay on the sidewalk and push their bikes. There will also be restrictions on the route from Pfarrplatz to Hauptplatz. As an alternative route, we recommend the route via Pfarrgasse and Domgasse.
