The fastest Linzers in the half marathon and marathon were honored.
The 18th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon also included the Linz city championships in the half marathon and marathon. The runners-up were awarded prizes for their achievements yesterday in the Old Town Hall. In the men's marathon, the current runner-up, Christian Kresnik, secured victory with a time of 2:24:32. Behind him came Bernd Kriechmair and Horst Dauerböck from Linz. In the women's race, Viktoria Steininger, after her third place last year, took the Linz city champion title in the marathon with a time of 3:12:50. Christina Khinast-Sittenthaler was second, Fabia Geres third. The Linz city champion title in the half marathon was won by Anna Panholzer and Franz Simon Mayrhofer. In the women's race Adeline Dantzer was second, 15 seconds ahead of Gabriele Mayr. In the men's race Stefan Füreder secured second place ahead of Andreas Konrad.
