The fastest participants in the School Runs campaign as part of the 18th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon were honored yesterday.
Around 2000 schoolchildren from all over Upper Austria took part in the School Runs campaign. The quarter marathon times of the fastest three pupils, as well as the times of the fastest three female pupils of a school were added up. For the resulting fastest three schools there was yesterday in the old city hall the award ceremony. The fastest three school relays were also awarded prizes. The pupils can look forward to cinema vouchers from Starmovie. The school with the most participants also received a prize.
This year, two schools were honored for the first time. On the one hand the VS Haag with the most finishers on Saturday at the junior marathon, and on the other hand the BRG / BORG Kirchdorf with the most finishers at the quarter and relay marathon. The junior marathon participants can look forward to a ride on the Grottenbahn, sponsored by the
LINZ AG, can look forward to. The school with the highest number of participants on Sunday, thanks to
Starmovie to a private cinema.
