Award for the Linz Marathon

In May 2015, the European Athletics Federation proclaimed a Running Week and thus put the focus on running. For one and a half years now, the platform "Running For All" has been in existence on which running events from all over Europe can register. These registrations are divided into three standards by means of 54 categories: 1 star, 3 stars, 5 stars. In order to guarantee legitimacy and credibility, the rated categories were established in cooperation with runners, organizers, member associations, race experts and sports physicians. As of 2018, the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon is also registered on this platform and has been awarded 5 stars by the European Athletics Federation, thus the highest achievable standard. The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon scores highly in all areas, such as administration, route, social responsibility, course measurement, medical care, results service, timing, safety and value for money. Thus, the largest mass sports event in the country absolutely lives up to its image as a service-oriented marathon. LIVA is very pleased about this award and is already full of beans for the 17th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon on 15.04.2018!
