Change in ladies classification

The organizing committee of the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon was informed today by the National Anti-Doping Agency NADA that the winner of this year's marathon, Danijela Kuna, has given a positive doping sample. In accordance with the rules, NADA has submitted a request for the Croatian's provisional suspension to the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). The organizing committee of the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon regrets the incident, but at the same time sees itself strengthened in its efforts to ensure a clean running event. „We have been working closely with NADA for years. The current case is certainly not pleasant, but it shows that we do not take the fight against doping lightly,„ say the organizers.
