Hyundai is a new partner and sponsor for the Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon. Under the motto "Run further than the others too", forces are being combined to rekindle the running fire of Upper Austria's largest mass sports event.
Mobility partner Hyundai
One focus of the cooperation is the future-oriented equipment of the Linz Marathon car fleet with forced environmentally friendly vehicles. One of Hyundai's new top models, the Hyundai NEXO hydrogen-electric SUV, can cover a whopping 660 kilometers, or the equivalent of 15 marathons, on a single charge and with zero local emissions (0 g/km CO2). An indispensable circumstance also for the official marathon lead car, which will be presented promptly before the 19th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon in April 2020. The Linz Marathon car fleet provided by Hyundai is completed by an organization vehicle, the marathon closing car and the elite return service. The Linz Marathon team also covers many hundreds of kilometers in its almost year-round race preparation. Hyundai also provides one of its flagship models to support the team during its numerous measurement appearances, presentations, meetings across Austria and neighboring countries, and service appointments such as the popular running meetings in four Upper Austrian regions.

Finally, as a competition sponsor, Hyundai will also lend its dynamic name to the popular relay marathon from 2020, thus ensuring 100% motivation on the race course. The sense of community and togetherness are at the forefront of this competition. According to the motto "It's more fun together", the relay marathon is an optimal teambuilding event. With the different distances of 9.4 km, 11.6 km, 14.3 km and 6.9 km, there is a suitable route for every participant in the team.
