Linz Marathon mascot

The Linz Marathon can now boast its own mascot - we are still looking for a name...

The Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon, which will be held for the 17th time on April 15, 2018, is an ongoing success story. Every year, it attracts almost 20,000 athletes to Upper Austria's provincial capital, who are enthusiastically on their feet and cheered on by more than a hundred thousand spectators along the route.

Now the marathon can finally adorn itself with its own mascot. The company Rasani Design from Leipzig, an absolute specialist in this field, also had a brilliant idea for Linz. "Supported by the children's cultural center Kuddelmuddel of the LIVA, a mascot was developed under their motto "Lauffeuer" (running fire), which radiates personality, creates additional identification and conveys the Linz Marathon message with sympathy and individuality," says Ewald Tröbinger of the OC team.

A name is still being sought for the extremely successful pacesetter. Creative name suggestions can now be submitted under this link.

A starting place for the 17th Oberbank Linz Danube Marathon on April 15, 2018 will be raffled among all entries.
