The marathon world record holder will be the speaker at the Linz Marathon Kick off event in January.
"I am very happy to come to Linz for the Kick Off event. It's always great to be with runners to experience the motivation and feeling of preparing for a marathon," says the three-time New York City Marathon winner. Marathon world record holder (2:15:25, London 2003) and multiple world champion Paula Radcliffe will be the star guest at this year's Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon Kick Off Event. In her talk, Paula will talk about the passion and motivation to pursue and achieve a sporting goal. "We don't even know what all is possible and what goals we can really achieve if we don't try," she said, adding that her love of sports has helped her overcome setbacks, such as at the Olympic Games in Athens and Beijing or after injuries. "We have five important balls to juggle in our lives. One of them, career, is attached by a rubber band to the other four factors. You can stretch the band and stretch it out, but you can't loosen it. When we make mistakes, we have to work harder to get back, but without the remaining four key factors, we'll never get to success!" Wondering what those factors are? Join us on Jan. 31, 2019, 6:30 p.m. at the Oberbank Danube Forum for the Kick Off Event.
