The project has a strong partner in Banner Batteries.
"We have been supporting this attractive running event since 2017. As a future-oriented quality provider, promoting children and young people is particularly important to us. Particularly in the "School Runs" competitions, future committed Banner employees could already be taking part. The interest of our staff in the various running competitions has also been high for several years. This combines team spirit with the joy of exercise," says a delighted Banner Managing Director Andreas Bawart. The students who participate in the "School Runs" campaign receive a T-shirt sponsored by Banner Batterien.
The "School Runs" project has now been a hit for 14 years. Every year, around 2,000 students and teachers run together in a wide variety of events at the Linz Marathon. The schools with the fastest relay and quarter marathon times, as well as the school with the most participants, are awarded prizes. The award ceremony will take place a few weeks after the marathon. Eligible to participate are students and teachers of elementary schools, new middle schools, high schools, vocational schools or apprentices (vocational students) who are still in apprenticeship training, as well as higher general education and vocational schools. The registration deadline for "Schule läuft" is March 15, 2019 at the Linz Marathon office.
