Sports are fun, relaxing and help to stay healthy. And because exercise is simply part of growing up healthy, it is a great concern of OÖGKK to support the Junior Marathon on April 14 as the main partner again this year.
A healthy lifestyle is extremely important even for the youngest. "The earlier we look at the health of our youngest, the better," says OÖGKK chairman Albert Maringer. Exercise also plays a major role in this. Running, hiking or walking is literally "child's play" and possible without expensive equipment. "Children who move a lot lay the foundation for an active and healthy lifestyle and are also healthier adults later on. This is also shown by study results," emphasizes OÖGKK Director Andrea Wesenauer.
OÖGKK is considered a pioneer in the field of health promotion and prevention. This already starts with the youngest: For parents-to-be and young families, the package "... from the very beginning! Topics include nutrition, dental health, child development, mental health, vaccination and accident prevention. OÖGKK also offers numerous health-promoting measures for schoolchildren.
OÖGKK is therefore very keen to support the Junior Marathon, for which a new concept was developed last year. The event shows how even the youngest get excited about exercise. And fun and enjoyment of sports are also at the forefront of the Junior Marathon for OÖGKK. Every child is a winner!
Around 2,300 children will once again be at the starting line of the OÖGKK Junior Marathon powered by Radio OÖ. Participation is free of charge for all children and in addition, each child will receive a cool T-shirt, a starter's bag, a participation medal and the opportunity to eat at the refreshment stand after the run.
The starting places at the OÖGKK Junior Marathon powered by Radio OÖ are very popular, we recommend a timely registration here.
