Günther Weidlinger was a guest at the BBS Rohrbach.
For the 12th time, the "School Runs" campaign is taking place as part of the Linz Danube Marathon. The ambassador for this campaign is Günther Weidlinger, Austrian marathon record holder. In the run-up to the marathon, he visits 10 schools throughout Upper Austria. Last Friday, February 5, 2016, Günther Weidlinger was a guest at BBS Rohrbach. Around 300 students listened to the lecture, where Günther Weidlinger talked about proper running, as well as the right preparation for running events, such as the Linz AG Quarter Marathon, the ASICS Relay Marathon, or the OÖN Junior Marathon. Afterwards, 40 students were allowed to complete a 60-minute running training session with Günther Weidlinger.
All participants were motivated and started first with some warm-up exercises, the following technique exercises as well as strength exercises also demanded everyone's concentration. BBS Rohrbach will be represented by some students at the 15th Borealis Linz Danube Marathon on April 3, 2016.
