A Linz Marathon without volunteers - simply unimaginable.
At the 24th Oberbank Linz Donau Marathon 2026, around 450 volunteers were also on hand to ensure that the event ran smoothly. The volunteer assignments could not have been more varied, ranging from:
Filling starter bags - tidying up the warehouse - handing out race numbers - handing out shirts - looking after the information stand - handing out medals - working at the refreshment points along the course and at the finish - looking after relay handovers - looking after the elite - handing out clothing bags - junior marathon - looking after the split time points
As a thank-you for their tireless efforts, the volunteers are invited to the traditional thank-you party after the marathon.
